スタバト・マーテル追加節（十字架の道行用）
Additional Japanese verses of Stabat Mater dolorosa for the Stations of the Cross
「十字架の道行」（Stations of the Cross）とは、主イエスの受難物語を描く、教会に設置してある「留」（るい）を回りながら黙想する、特に大斎節にふさわしい礼拝です。
なお、留から留へと移動する際、伝統的に聖歌Stabat Mater dolorosa（13世紀）を歌う伝統があります。留は14か所があるから、14節の聖歌は理想ですが、和訳にあるのは５節しかなく、１節を２つに分けても10節しかないため、全節歌い終わったら戻って最初からもう一度歌うというふうに対応するのは通常です。
英語ではちゃんと14か所分の節があるので、未和訳のものを翻訳してみました。各節は8-8-7となっており、既存和訳を見ますと、余儀なくかなりの意訳となっています。

At the cross her station keeping
stood the mournful Mother weeping,
where he hung, the dying Lord
十字架のもとに
み母はたたずみ
涙にくれぬ
For her soul, of joy bereavèd,
bowed with anguish, deeply grieved,
felt the sharp and piercing sword.
心を剣で
刺し貫かれて
嘆きにしずむ
O how sad and sore distressèd
now was she, that Mother blessèd
of the sole-begotten one!
愛しきみ母の
刺されし心に
涙をそそがん
Deep the woe of her affliction,
when she saw the crucifixion
of her ever-glorious Son.
愛しきみ母の
嘆きの杯
受く者もなし
Who, on Christ's dear Mother gazing
pierced by anguish so amazing,
born of woman, would not weep?
死にゆくわが子を
見つめるみ母の
痛みと悩み
Who, on Christ's dear Mother thinking
such a cup of sorrow drinking,
would not share her sorrows deep?
嘆きと悲しみ
心にしのびて
十字架 仰ぐ
For his people's sins chastised,
she beheld her Son despised,
scourged, and crowned with thorns entwined
あざけり捨てられ
むち打たれし主の
茨のかむり（冠）
Saw her Son from judgment taken,
and in death by all forsaken,
till his spirit he resigned.
世の罪 担いて
死にたる主イェスの
救いのみ業
Fount of love and holy sorrow,
Mother, may my spirit borrow
Somewhat of thy woe profound.
愛の泉なる
み母はの嘆きに
思いを寄せて
Unto Christ with pure emotion
May I raise my heart's devotion,
Love to read in every wound.
主イェスを愛する
熱き心へと
燃え立たしめよ
