Join us at our 4:30 p.m. Holy Communion on March 2 for Part 2 of our three-part Instructed Eucharist series.

What is the role of Holy Scripture during Holy Communion and why do Anglicans read so much of it? What is a sermon? Where does the Nicene Creed come from and why do we recite it every Sunday? Why is it called “the Prayers of the People”? Why and how do we confess our sins? What is the meaning of collecting money in church? These are some of the topics we’ll be thinking about in Part 2.

Come deepen your understanding of this central act of the Christian life. Whether you are a non-Christian or a member of another church, all are welcome.

Worship on the first Sunday of the month is in English, so the instructed Eucharist will also be in English. Part 3 is planned for April 6.

礼拝における聖書はどういう位置づけになっているのか、そして何でそんなたくさん読むのか。説教って何？ニケア信条はどこから来たのか、どうして毎週唱えるのか。何で「会衆の祈り」と呼ぶのか。どうして、そしてどうやって罪を告白するのか。何で教会でお金を集めるのか。第2回ではこれら等のテーマなどについて考えましょう。

クリスチャンの信仰生活の中心に置かれているこの礼拝行為への理解をご一緒に深めましょう。クリスチャンでない方も、他教会のメンバーも、どなたでも大歓迎です。

なお、月の第一主日は英語礼拝となっていますので、この解説付き聖餐式も英語で行われます。第3回は４月6日の予定です。
