場所を提供していただいている三鷹福音教会から*たくさん*の方々がOMSAの初聖餐式に出席してくださいました。暖かく応援してくださっている感じでした。ご降誕前の一週間に入るにあたり、こうやってキリストにある多くの兄弟姉妹とともに聖なる麗しさにおいて主を拝むことができて、とても嬉しかったです。聖餐式に先立ち、いくつかの礼拝用品（着物の帯を使用している祭壇の垂れ幕も含めて）を祝別したほか、妊婦さんの２方の祝福式も行いました。説教は2言語でしたので、普段の2倍の時間となりました！でも、皆さんが礼儀正しく、何度も時計を見る気配はありませんでした。ジュリアン主教ご夫妻からの挨拶を集会に伝えることができて光栄でした。皆さんにとってみ子の受肉の不思議さと喜びに包まれた一週間でありますように！
MANY people from the host church (Mitaka Evangelical Church) showed up for the inaugural Eucharist of OMSA! A huge show of support. It was a real delight to worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness with so many brothers and sisters in Christ heading into the week before the Nativity. Before the Eucharist, in addition to blessing numerous items used in worship (including altar hangings made from a re-purposed obi from a kimono), there was a blessing of two pregnant women. The sermon was in two languages—meaning it took twice as long as usual!—but everyone was polite enough not to look repeatedly at their watches. It was an honor to bring greetings from Bishop Julian and Brenda to the gathering. We pray the wonder and joy of the Incarnation of the Son will pervade the week for you all!
